Overview of the Issue

Since President Trump's proclamation to drastically reduce Bears Ears National Monument on December 4, 2017, Access Fund has been fighting to reinstate the monument and protect this climbing resource through legal action and uniting the outdoor recreation community and the Inter-Tribal Coalition. For years, Access Fund has worked in close collaboration with the Bears Ears Inter-Tribal Coalition, as well as other conservation groups in its strategy to defend Bears Ears National Monument.
