The Access Fund purchases 115-acres of privately owned land at Shelf Road, and later sells the land to the Bureau of Land Management at appraised value. Crags officially opened as a result of the acquisition were the Cactus Cliff, Spiney Ridge, part of the Gym, the Vault, Gem Wall, and the Cash Wall. The Access Fund purchased the land in order to secure permanent climbing access, and to provide for improvements such as parking and trails.
