Access Fund and Gunks Climbers Coalition (GCC) teamed up with neighboring landowners to acquire a new backcountry climbing area along the Millbrook cliff line in the Shawangunks. This area offers a uniquely remote experience that boasts traditional climbing, top roping, overhangs, vertical faces, and even a little crack climbing—ranging from 5.5 to 5.13. GCC now owns the cliff and holds an access easement to build a future parking area and trail up to Ant Lion, which includes 1,000 feet of undeveloped cliff line. After a two-year subdivision process, Access Fund provided GCC a loan of $109,000.
