Access Fund is pleased to announce and welcome Michelle Estrella as its new Finance and Operations Director. In this role, Estrella will provide strategic leadership of Access Fund’s finances, operations, and human resources.

Estrella brings more than 20 years of financial leadership experience to the role, across multiple industries, including eco-travel, technology, higher education, and commercial banking. She is known for successfully guiding organizations in high-growth stages through strategic planning and business operations. Michelle most recently served as the Chief Financial Officer of Natural Habitat Adventures.

“We are excited to add Michelle’s many talents and years of experience to our growing team here at Access Fund,” says Chris Winter, executive director. “She is a committed climber, and she has a passion for our community and protecting the places we all love so much.”

Based in Boulder, Colorado, Estrella is also a longtime climber and an active public lands and recreation advocate. She has served on several boards, including the Colorado Chautauqua Association, Open Boulder, and Boulder Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Estrella has recently been appointed to Boulder’s Open Space Board of Trustees.

“I’m deeply passionate about supporting the connection people have with their public lands through responsible recreation and stewardship,” says Estrella. “The opportunity to bring my multi-decade obsession for climbing and my professional expertise together to support an organization I’ve long admired and supported excites me.
