Access Fund Hires Northeast Regional Director
We are thrilled to announce that we have hired a Northeast Regional Director to work with local climbing organizations, advocates, and land managers to protect and expand climbing opportunities in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, and Delaware.
Mike Morin—a native of Bradley, Maine—will fill this role. Mike has been with the Access Fund for three years, traveling the country to steward climbing areas as part of the Access Fund-Jeep Conservation Team. In this new role, Mike will be based out of North Conway, New Hampshire, where he will help facilitate climbing stewardship activities, advise on climbing policy issues, advance climber education, and support the local climbing organizations across the region.
“Local climbing organizations in New England are doing some incredible work, and we are thrilled to be able to offer them additional support to protect and expand climbing in the region. And Mike is just the guy for the job,” says Brady Robinson, Access Fund’s Executive Director.
As a seasoned veteran of the Access Fund’s signature stewardship program, Mike will also provide logistical support and training for the Access Fund-Jeep Conservation Teams. He will also oversee the Access Fund’s Fixed Anchor Fund.
