Volunteers are needed to help build a platform and steps at Overlook. We will be digging dirt, carrying heavy materials to and from the work site, installing timber platforms and steps to control erosion. Hazards include but are not limited to: extreme heat or cold, wet, insect bites, vegetation poisoning, over-exertion. Please bring closed-toe sturdy footwear, long pants and sleeves, sun hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, and work gloves are highly recommended. Directions:
Drive up County Road 361 (Camp Bird Mine Road) past the Ice Park and continue approximately half a mile until you see a dirt pullout on the left (South) with a cablegate blocking an unmarked road.
For all Adopt a Crag events, please keep in mind the following:
Wear closed-toed shoes. Long sleeves and pants are recommended.
Bring water, snacks, and extra layers for the elements.
Be prepared to be challenged, work hard, and gain sending karma points!
Although we'll be outside, if you are feeling ill or have had any recent exposure to Covid please reconsider and stay home to rest up!
