I’ve traveled all over the world to climb—from Australia to Madagascar, Vietnam to the Verdon Gorge. They’re all incredible areas. But, there’s something so special about our country’s breathtaking climbing areas.

There’s nowhere else in the world like Yosemite, Red Rock Canyon, or the Shawangunks. But the climbing landscapes we enjoy are facing increased threats from development, damaging extraction, and climate change.

As climbers, we have a special connection to the places where we climb. We also have the power to save these places and protect America’s climbing—if we all chip in.

We can be a powerful force for protecting climbing and caring for the land. And the team at Access Fund has our back. They have the tools to buy threatened climbing areas, restore the ones we have, and pass laws in Washington, D.C., that protect sustainable and equitable access for all climbers.
